One of the most expensive video games of all time was just released on Steam. A game called The Hidden and Unknown, was just released on January 23 by Indie developers ProX. The developers have set the price tag on this new video game at $1,999.90. No, that is not a type. The game really costs $2,000 and if you plan on purchasing the game, it is only going to take you 2 hours to complete the whole thing.

The description of what the game is about on Steam reads as follows, “The Hidden and Unknown is a story-based game, that aims to widen the perception of its audience in the areas of psychology and philosophy.” If you take a look at the images that are shown in regards to the game, it doesn’t give you the greatest idea on what you should actually expect from the game. Interestingly enough, if you continue to read more about the game on Steam, it states, “If you are often getting offended instead of reacting rationally, avoiding this game would be a wise action.” Which makes me assume that this game is going to mess with your head and make you upset at times.

If you, just like the rest of us, were wondering why exactly ProX would price their game at $1,999.90, they said that the price felt right to them. Every developer has the right to choose what price tag they want to put on their video game and in this case, $1,999.90 was what ProX felt was the right price given the experience the game takes you on.

Not many people are going to have the opportunity to play The Hidden and Unknown, but there will be a select few that do decide to purchase the game. A lot of the big named Twitch streamers and YouTubers also may purchase the game for content purposes because they will know a lot of people will be intrigued to tune in to see what the game is all about.

Something else that I thought was really interesting was the fact that ProX admitted that you could complete the game within 2 hours and because of this you can request a full refund, so you aren’t stuck with a $2,000 game. If this is the case, it is a lose-lose situation for ProX as they won’t make any money off of the game and are limiting tons of people to who purchases their product in the first place.

Also. Fall Guys has been permanently removed from Steam. light

If you are someone who is willing to shell out $2,000 on a 2-hour Steam game, you can head over to the website now and purchase the game and start playing. If you are going to be like a majority of other gamers, you can wait until gameplay hits Twitch or YouTube and get a similar experience out of the video game for the low, low price of free.
