Cuphead: The Delcious Last Course DLC surpasses huge sales milestone

Studio MDHR has announced that the Cuphead Delicious Last Course DLC has now sold over 2 million copies. The original game, which released in 2017, has also sold over 6 million copies to date.

Cuphead has surprisingly received a lot of post launch flavor. A physical collector’s edition is available to pre-order now for a release in 2013. Netflix is also up to season 3 of The Cuphead Show. I was was pretty tepid on the original Cuphead when it first released and scored it a 6.5 / 10 due more so to some technical flaws opposed to fun factor or design. A number of fixes since launch has remedied these, and Cuphead has obviously benefited from them with these most recent sales numbers.

Cuphead is a classic run-and-gun action game with visuals inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, and even created with the same techniques used during the era. You can play as Cuphead or Mugman in single player or local co-op as you traverse strange and unique worlds in attempt to pay your debt back to the devil. Given the success of Cuphead and its subsequent DLC releases, it will be interesting to see what the future of the franchise holds.

Cuphead is available now on Switch, PC, PS4/5 and Xbox Series consoles. Take a look below at some of the most recent gameplay from the Delicious Last Course DLC.
