Splatoon 3’s first Splatfest theme and dates announced
Today marked a MASSIVE Nintendo Direct. In the midst of game reveals, rows of farm sims, and Miyamoto oddly going off about Pikmin Bloom for five minutes, new information was shown for Splatoon 3. The Splatfests are coming soon!
The first Splatfest for this game is going to be a big thing because, for the first time ever, there are going to be THREE teams. As revealed previously, you’ll go up against the other teams and a universal tally will be kept.
As one team takes the lead there will be moments in which that team has to defend itself. What will happen is that they’ll enter a map in which four of them will be in the middle of a map and two players from both of the other teams will flank them. This also means three colors on the field to contend with. Chaos.
The Splatfest is scheduled for three days, running from September 23rd to September 25th.
The question that provides the choices for the three teams was revealed as well. If you were going to a deserted island, what would you bring: gear, grub, or fun? As a person who could grab a bug-out kit and some Swedish fire steel at a moment’s notice, I’m going to be team “gear” but I’d love to know what y’all are going to pick.
Honestly, I might change up my choices depending on what my girl Frye decides to do.

I may have different opinions on what I’d bring to an island, but I will probably always be team Frye-or-Die as this character completely won me over with their absolute nonsense and bizarre eel attacks.
In addition, Nintendo also announced more free updates are coming down the weird inky pipeline soon including new outfits and maps. Splatoon 3 released this month for Nintendo Switch.
