4. David Pastrnak

The Boston Bruins had a fantastic 2021-2022 season. The team as a whole went on to achieve a win-loss record of 51-26-5 for 107 points. Bruins fans were a little disappointed when their fantastic season came to an end in the first round of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs in a tight battle with the Carolina Hurricanes that culminated in 7 games.

Besides having a fantastic 2021-2022 season, David Pastrnak was another bright spot to their season. Pastrnak ended up missing ten games this season, but even playing in 72 games he managed to still score 40 goals and 37 assists. If Pasta had an extra 10 games in his back pocket, some have speculated that he would have had a decent chance to get to fifty goals. While that is very possible, 10 goals in 10 games is something that is very achievable from a talent like David Pastrnak.

When you break down David Pastrnak in NHL 22, you find out that he actually was the fastest right winger in the video game with a 93 overall rating for speed. Speed is something that is more crucial in today’s NHL. With players only getting quicker as they make their way into the league, speed is something that is valued by lots of teams.

Being that David Pastrnak is quick and able to score a plethora of goals when he is healthy, it only makes sense that he is once again a top-five right winger in NHL 23. I don’t see a world where he wouldn’t be.

Estimated Overall: 91
