EA Sports hasn’t officially started revealing player ratings for Madden 22, but it’s never to early to speculate. Last week, we gave our predictions as to who will be in Club 99 this year, and this week we’re looking at the most important position on the field, quarterback.
Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs)
Is there any question with this one? Patrick Mahomes is undoubtedly the best player at the quarterback position in the league, capable of making plays with his arm or his feet. Not only do I think Mahomes will be the best-rated quarterback in Madden 22, but I think he’ll be part of the core group of Club 99 members at launch.
Mahomes was rated a perfect 99 overall in Madden 21 at launch and I think he’ll be right up at the top again this year — especially since he’s the co-cover athlete for Madden 22 alongside Tom Brady.
Just 25-years-old, Mahomes isn’t even in the prime of his career. Yet he’s already thrown for over 14,000 yards and has 114 touchdowns along with a career 108.7 QB rating. He’s already played in two Super Bowls and won one of them. He’s as talented as they come.
In Madden 21, Mahomes finished Super Bowl week with 97 Awareness, 97 Throw Power, 96 Throw Under Pressure, and a 97/93/94 Short/Middle/Deep accuracy rating. Add that to 90 Break Sack, 96 Play Action and 98 Throw On the Run. Honestly, I don’t see much changing in Madden 22.
Rating Prediction: 99 overall
