Override 2: Ultraman’s Bemular enters the fray

When Override 2 was first announced, they mentioned a season pass for upcoming characters. I was like, “okay, I’ll wait and see.” But then…BUT THEN…they announced that the characters were going to be from the long-running Ultraman and I was sold immediately.

Ultraman is one of my childhood “ride-or-dies” and I will support my giant boy up until the day he accidentally steps on me. I’ve been really happy seeing him in here doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Ultraman has already been out for a bit now, allowing me to knock enemies across the stage with his signature Specium Ray. But last week, Ultraman got some competition in the form of Ultraman baddie, Bemular, who apparently would have paid an arm and a leg to be in this competition (bless you if you get that).

Bemular casts a dark, intimidating air, that really makes him stand out from the very colorful cast. Especially with the fact that he floats in the air as opposed to walking.

He comes arms with a series of powerful punches and kicks that cover a surprising amount of range. Also, his signature heat attacks are in full force leading up to him creating a massive heat bomb over his head that he can throw Dragon Ball Spirit Bomb style.

With this inclusion of everyone’s least favorite dad puncher, this brings the roster to 22 different fighters to take out your disproportionate angst with.

In addition, having the season pass gets you a ton of really cool Ultraman themed cosmetics from hats to oversides Ultraman helmets that fit over practically any character’s noggin. Plus, it also gives you access to the next two Ultraman characters in the series as they arrive: The heavily armored, definitely not Godzilla influenced “Black King” and the slick swordsman, Dan Moroboshi.
