Clash of Clans: Rock out with Party King for the 8th Clashiversary

Gold, glory and heavy metal. The Party King is here for Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans is celebrating its 8th Clashiversary with a party. Arriving with the new month of challenges is the Party King and he’s ready to rock out and raid.

You can unlock the Party King outfit for the Barbarian King by purchasing the Gold Pass (for $4.99) and completing challenges throughout the month of August. To unlock him, you’ll need to reach the end of the Gold Pass track, which requires 2600 Challenge Points.

As per usual, there are three daily challenges:  Get a Star from a Multiplayer Battle; Get a Star from a Versus Battle; and Donate a total of 15 Housing Space worth of troops. Each of these provides you with 20 Challenge Points upon completion. Completing these daily is probably the best way to make continual progress towards the final tier of the track.

Then there are seasonal challenges that can be completed throughout the entire month. These typically require a bit more time and dedication, such as destroying 1000 Buildings in Multiplayer Battles and knocking out 250 levels worth of Barbarian King in Multiplayer Battles. Six new challenges unlock each week throughout the month.

With this new season coinciding with the 8th Clashiversary, the Silver Track — available to all players for free — will reward “A Piece of Birthday Cake” statue. You only need to achieve 80 Challenge Points to receive this celebratory statue.

Party King is now the 8th skin for the Barbarian King and it’s easily my favorite. This is actually the second party-themed hero skin in Clash of Clans, following Party Wizard last August. This seems to be a recurring theme during Clashiversary. We’ve now got the singer and guitarist (five strings?) so I’m hoping the rest of the heroes receive party skins so we can get the whole band going.

Supercell hasn’t yet announced any other Clashiversary celebrations, but they typically accompany it with one-gem boosts, store discounts and other things.
