Styx: Shards of Darkness | Cyanide | PC, PS4, Xbox One

If you’re a goblin, life isn’t exactly easy, nor is it actually all that fun. But in Styx: Shards of Darkness, your struggles as a goblin turn into an excellent stealth-based game, perhaps one of the best out there of late.

For fans of stealth games such as Thief and Tenchu, this game may just be right up your ally, and it’s certainly welcome as a part of the Of Orcs and Men series. You’ll have to deal with your race’s sworn foes ranging from elves to men to dwarves, all building upon the hefty lore already established in past entries.

The strategy as you try to infiltrate the elven city of Korangar includes creative use of special abilities, weapons, tools, and multiple pathways through each of the games buildings as Styx hunts down his foes. There’s also a co-op mode, allowing for expanded strategies and cooperation, though you’ll have to trust your partner not to goof things up.
