Doctor Who: Legacy Adds More Characters, Weekly Content In Latest Update

Doctor Who fans are already pretty fired up for the debut of Peter Capaldi later this week, but Tiny Rebel Games and Seed Studio are trying to give them even more reasons to be excited with the latest update for Doctor Who: Legacy. The game’s latest update, entitled “The Hunt For Greyhound One,” is now live on all platforms, bringing with it the Fifth Doctor, multiple companions and supporting characters, and something I never expected to see in the game, the Whomobile.

The Fifth Doctor, played by Peter Davison, has joined the fray, as “The Hunt For Greyhound One” features multiple incarnations of the Doctor joining forces to combat the Master. Better still, the update paves the way for weekly content releases to coincide with the long-awaited new season of Doctor Who on TV.

Doctor Who: Legacy recently surpassed one million installs across iOS, Android and Amazon devices, a level of success that has surprised even its publisher.

“When we launched Doctor Who: Legacy back in November, we couldn’t have imagined the amazingly engaged and supportive fan community that it would inspire,” Tiny Rebel Games creative director Lee Cummings said in a statement.

To celebrate, a special livestream will be held on Sunday, August 24 (that’s the day after Capaldi’s first full adventure) at noon Pacific time at Viewers who join the stream will be the first to grab a new costume for Jenny, the first costume released for the game in conjunction with Season 8 of the show.

And if you haven’t checked out Doctor Who: Legacy yet, you can download it for free on the iOS App Store, Google Play or the Amazon Appstore.
