Already well-known for being the only free mobile and social casino app that allows players to earn rewards and casino comps in the real world, myVEGAS is getting another boost of authenticity.
PLAYSTUDIOS, the developer of myVEGAS, announced this week that it had signed a deal to bring Konami Gaming titles to both the mobile and Facebook versions of the game. China Mystery will be the first Konami title to appear in myVEGAS, with more to follow in the coming months, as well as the first real world slot theme to hit the game.
“Licensing established content has been the dominant creative paradigm in the slot industry for quite some time,” PLAYSTUDIOS CEO Andrew Pascal said in a statement. “From game shows, to rock bands, to blockbuster movies, casino slot manufacturers have been leveraging the brand equity of pop culture content. Now it’s our turn to bring established Las Vegas gaming content into the free-to-play social and mobile space.”
Konami is a Las Vegas-based subsidiary of the Konami Corporation, and is a leading designer and manufacturer of slot machines for physical casinos all over the world.
“We have been very deliberate in our evaluation of opportunities to bring Konami’s popular game themes online,” Konami Gaming CEO and executive vice president Steve Sutherland said in a statement. “In PLAYSTUDIOS, we identified a partner with an experienced management team, a high-quality product, and an engaging customer experience that combined to create an opportunity for our games to thrive on their social app. We are optimistic that PLAYSTUDIOS’ social platform will expose our game themes, like China Mystery, to new customers while also making them available to existing fans who may be looking to play them online.”
Players can link their accounts between the mobile and Facebook versions of myVEGAS to allow for play on a PC or on the go. The mobile app is a free download for iOS through the App Store, or for Android via Google Play.
